Cha-ching

Integration with our payment processing partner, Payoneer is near complete.  (sorry, it’s taking a little bit longer than expected) We’re working out the last of the issues over the next few days to ensure everyone gets paid correctly.

Pretty soon… you guys will all be kluster cashmoney rock stars, with expressions so elequoently demonstrated by ben

<——

Make sure you’re ready:

  • Earn Over $50 in your kluster account.
  • Sign up for your payoneer card (clicking on the “preference” link in the top-right corner of namethis/kluster and then on the account info tab. )
  • Wait for your card to come (could take up to two weeks)
  • Activate your card via the payoneer website

In just a few more days (as soon as i finish all this integration awesomeness)… All members with activated cards will be able to start loading their funds onto their card.    Once you initiate a card load from your kluster account, it takes 3 business days for the funds to be available on your debit card.   You’ll receive an email from payoneer when the funds are available.

As an added bonus, we’re letting you earn watts with your monthly card loads.  Basically, the less you load, the more watts you receive.  We will be crediting your account a bonus 2 watts for every dollar you leave in your account after each card load.  This helps us, as a startup, and you as an aspiring influencer.

So, make sure you’ve followed all the above steps and get ready for the big return… you guys have earned it.  Don’t go spending it all in one place (unless you want to spend it running projects on kluster, in which case.. please do)

Ok, I’m off to finish the code. Check your account info page daily over the next few days, you’ll see the load form show up shortly.

-Mike, about to give you twenty’s… MAN!

PS:  here are a few of my favorite things….   Flowers, Chocolate Milk, Socks, Bowling Shirts, Beads, TI-85’s, Carly Simon, and walking through model cities pretending i’m Godzilla.

    Looking forward to this.

I hope you get a decent amount of watts for keeping money on the card, or I’m just going to run off and buy myself a Kluster subsidized 3G iphone.

  • Allison Reynolds on June 25th, 2008:

Hah I am blowing mine in one fell swoop I am afraid…but after that well we shall see!

    Great news though!

  • russell Smith on June 26th, 2008:

i might be headed for the iPhone as well…

  • Julien Harksen on June 26th, 2008:

Im buying myself a server to host my new project ;) I will be using name this for the name though :D

  • Matthew Cua on June 26th, 2008:

I’m still deciding whether to use the money to buy a laptop or use the money to invest or start my own small business ….and I can’t decide hahaha

  • Aubrey on June 26th, 2008:

Are we earning watts right now for all of the time we’ve had a payout ready but can’t transfer it to our Kluster card?

  • Felipe Villamil on June 26th, 2008:

Kluster card made it all the way to Colombia!!! Finally!!!

  • RLM on June 28th, 2008:

Can we please elect to have our money paid out into a PayPal account?

Having a Payoneer card in Europe is not that useful.

  • Angie on June 29th, 2008:

any updates on the loading of cards?

  • Derek on June 29th, 2008:

    2 watts? That’s a joke, right?

  • Matthew Cua on June 29th, 2008:

2 watts is already big …though not as big as 1000 watt referral

  • Drew McConnell on June 29th, 2008:

    @ Derek

2 watts PER dollar. Thats huge. That means if I were to leave in a $1000 after every months load time I would be getting a free 2000 watts. Thats more than some can keep in there piggy banks to begin with, let alone replenish every month with.

Its an additional incentive. Kluster isnt trying to give watts away, the point is to invest and grow–not farm watts off of extraneous reward systems.

  • Julien Harksen on June 30th, 2008:

@RLM “Having a Payoneer card in Europe is not that useful.”

Why? It’s MasterCard.. it works everywhere here in germany..

  • Derek on June 30th, 2008:

    Drew,

That’s “huge”. How so? Not all of us made thousands of dollars. I find it weird considering that taking a 5 minute survey yielded me 1600 watts, yet keeping actual money on the card gives me 2 watts PER dollar? Make it 500 per dollar, that’s a lot more realistic. Watts are just that, watts. Money is money.

  • Drew McConnell on July 1st, 2008:

    Derek,

Like I said before, the purpose is to give an incentive to leave money with the site, not to farm watts. The focus of the entire enterprise is to invest into names for returns. A serious imbalance would result from something so preposterous as 500, or even 100 or 25 watts per dollar. If anything, it would just devalue the watt.

The survey probably provided a distinct purpose, and simply added to the base starting amount of watts- since they assumed everyone would complete the form it was more of an unlocking of the starting pay than earning a real bonus.

The watts per dollar is not a necessity it is extra, they could just as easily NOT have the added watts as have them. There are too many other issues to be worked over than to dwell on this ridiculous tidbit.

How’s the card loading situation going?

  • matt on July 1st, 2008:

@kristen 20 wants to kill himself because of the integration pains … it’s not good. we’re on it.

  • Kristen on July 1st, 2008:

Thanks for the update matt. Good luck…

  • Russell on July 1st, 2008:

    We will get there someday.
In the meantime I will continue to stack the cash.

  • jak on July 3rd, 2008:

happy 4th kluster folk. hopefully your not killing yourself getting the payoneer integration done on what looks to be such a beautiful weekend. although i do look forward to being able to start transferring.

    happy fourth all

  • 20man on July 3rd, 2008:

Why yes, we are working today, but tomorrow… i think we’ll actually take a day off.

The good news is the Payoneer integration work is complete, save for the final ‘live’ loading tests (with which we anticipate no problems). However, getting transfers to payoneer from our account still needs a little work. Since the financial services industry tends to keep bankers hours and the 4th is upon us, it’ll probably be another few business days before we can have a fully-automated, working solution in place.

Thanks, everyone, for all the patience and feedback as we nail this down. Happy 4th!

  • matthew cua on July 4th, 2008:
