    Just FYI-
    The “add your own” link inside the UI is totally failing for me in FF. Doing nothing at all. FF2/winxp
    And in IE6 the login screen throws both the non-secure/secure error and then an “unexpected identifier” error, which kills it.

  • matt on August 14th, 2008:

    @paul all it does is scroll you to the bottom of the page, so you can add your idea in the form. btw, FF3!

    Keep up the good work xD

  • Drew McConnell on August 15th, 2008:

    Anyone have an answer to all of our questions concerning the money limit that shouldn’t still exist?

  • Matthew Cua on August 15th, 2008:

    @ Drew,

    Kluster is still at beta, so the money limit should still be in effect, plus you can now load up for your 2nd month, ^_^ and it is not really a major problem think of it as kluster protecting your money from you spending it xD

  • Stacy Prince on August 15th, 2008:

    @Matthew, I know we’re all trying to support an exciting start-up. In fact, I’d posit that, as a whole, this group has been very patient with the money thing. I hope you see that it’s hard for people who have earned serious money to find out, pretty far into their time investment, that the rules have changed.

    I don’t think anyone was upset when kluster said they needed to work the kinks out. No one REALLY wanted the system to inadvertently add zeros to winnings ($50,000 instead of $50? Nice!) But it’s frustrating that it’s taken as long as it has to work things out, and equally frustrating that we’re not getting updates/explanations/apologies. If this is a cash-flow situation (and I don’t know that it is), it’s good practice to be frank with creditors, who are typically appreciative of the situation and eager to work things out. I’d imagine this bunch to be especially so.

    Drew mentioned elsewhere that it would take six months for him to get the money owed him at this rate. Even if it may be good for Drew’s soul not to spend it all at once, it’s not exactly kosher business practice to hold onto his money, unless perhaps Drew’s getting interest on the money he’s earned.

    Even though kluster is a ton of fun, the ability to make money may be what’s driving some good players — or at least motivating them to work as hard as they have on kluster projects. The klusterbunch seem like good people and I feel certain it will all work out in the end, but in the meantime it’s leaving a bad taste that even your upbeat attitude and our general good spirits can’t wash away.

  • Christina Lewis on August 15th, 2008:

    @Stacy Prince…

    I agree with you wholeheartedly. I realize Kluster is a startup, but we have been asking for an update on the money situation for awhile. And the Klusterbunch (I like that term!) has been very patient and good-natured. I’m sure we will continue to be. But in the meantime, a simple update would be wonderful.

  • Kristen on August 15th, 2008:

    Thank you Stacy for putting into words what many of us have been feeling. An update would be much appreciated.

  • Drew McConnell on August 15th, 2008:

    @Stacy

    Thank you for explaining how we feel with more patience and tact than I could Stacy, though I am not sure that some aren’t taking that patience for granted.

    @Matthew Cua

    I do not need anyone to help me with my finances, especially against my will. The government already chooses what happens to far too much of my money- I do not need those who owe me money to do so as well.

  • Matthew Cua on August 16th, 2008:

    @Stacy

    Reading your post, I admit you are right. It is already more than a month since the time we can use our cards, and more than 2 months since the start of kluster giving us money from our collaboration and work. And I also do wonder when would the 200 limit be lifted, not because i want the money now but because there isn’t any updates on it.

    I still believe in the Kluster team and the klusterbunch (I think we should start calling us, the community of kluster, that) that in the end we are all happy and was able to create something.

    @Drew

    I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you or irritate you with my comment. It was an upbeat comment to make things more positive and/or optimistic.

    and yes an update would be greatly clear things up

  • James Lacerenza on August 16th, 2008:

    Stacy: Bravo for what you said. I didn’t want to come off as ungrateful for the opportunity, but I feel the same way as you, and I do have “serious money” that could help my family out quite a bit right now.

  • Martin Möhwald on August 16th, 2008:

    Thanks for the great comment, Stacy.
    I am really wondering why the Kluster team did not give any statement about that issue yet. Seen as they are obviously reading all the comments and replying on other topics quite shortly.

    Klusterbunch sounds a bit to redundant…Kluster=(organized)Bunch, no?
