Payoneer Phishing
by 20man - October 6th, 2008
Dear citizens of klusterville,
It has come to our attention that there is at least one site out there operating a phishing hole for payoneer cardholders. This is just a reminder that you should never, ever, ever provide your information to a site that you don’t absolutely know to be the real mccoy.
Neither we nor Payoneer will ask you to come back to our sites to enter sensitive financial information, so don’t do it, okay?

Speaking of Payoneer, I just lifted my spirits on this dark market day by following in the footsteps of other wise namethisers and using my card to make a donation to Barack Obama’s campaign. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
In the words of his website, “Since Barack Obama is not taking any contributions from Washington lobbyists or political action committees, he’s counting on supporters like us. Join me in this movement for change: https://donate.barackobama.com/donateinvite Thanks.”
(Yes, this is shameless self-promotion; I value my hide and figure that with another 4+ years of the crazies in charge we’ll all be toast…)
Vote early and often.
I really hope that in our next election in the Philippines we would have a good candidate like Obama….
On the Payoneer Phishing…do we know what the site is ?

Speaking of shady schemes, (pun so painful it hurts) watt about shedding some light on the klusterblog with a lovely favicon? It’s OK if you guys didn’t like the lightbulb variant I threw out there, but it really needs something up there in the address bar. Seriously. One of the things I’ve noticed about phishing sites is that they always get the favicon wrong. Our payoneer-phishing pals appear to be no exception.
@shawnee: your wish has been granted.
Like it.
nice! thank you guys. i think, looking back on the issue, i was probably just looking more for an opportunity to post the watts pun to an appreciative audience than anything else. however, green k favicons are good. and the light bulb was probably more (or would have been) more appropriate on namethis than blog, anywho.
@ kluster team — Any update on the Payoneer thing? Getting to be reload time, and I don’t want to take out $200 now if I have to wait 30 days to take out more and waiting a few more days would mean I could take out more. Christmas is coming! Thanks.
Any Payoneer update?
